Team UnLimbited spotted on the pitch

Do you remember a few months ago when we made an awesome Juventus FC arm for Charlie? This arm put a smile on Charlie’s face. Now, something has happened that has put a smile on ours.

Northallerton Town Juniors Football Club have added our charity to the club’s under 9’s home kits!

The kids wore them for the first time on Saturday 7th August. We might be a bit bias, but don’t they look awesome!?

The Northallerton Juniors first heard about us after we made Charlie’s arm. Charlie and his brother Fred play for the junior team, which is also coached by their dad, Steve. We have to say that with the combination of his Juventus FC arm and football kit, Charlie looks ready to win Man of the Match!

A Grassroot team with an abundance of generosity and goodwill

We were over the moon when Paul Frost contacted us about putting our logo on the team’s kits. Paul simply wanted to help raise awareness about our work and we were touched by this act of kindness.

As you might have noticed we have lot of young football fans requesting arms. As well as Charlie, the dedicated Juventus FC superfan, we have had Ted, a Manchester United fan, and Ajay who was given his Aston Villa FC arm by star player of the time, Jack Grealish.

Northallerton Town Juniors Football Club is dedicated to making football accessible and have teams from ages 5 right up to 18. The club’s ethos is centred around introducing young children to the fun elements of football and developing their skills with a fully qualified team of FA coaches. They play across Teesside and North Yorkshire in leagues, cups and festival tournament competitions.

Grassroot football is incredibly important for communities. It helps keep kids active, gives them an outlet for stress and it’s a way to make new friends. It’s definitely something we can get behind here at Team UnLimbited.

Thank you for every act of kindness

As a small charity, acts of kindness like this mean the world to us. Grateful does not begin to cover how we feel when people support us on our mission, and we never forget them.

We will always remember the Ex-demo BQ hephestos 2 3D printer that Daemon3D Print gifted us.

How can we ever forget the amazing gift Steve Hayden of Apex Timber Buildings gave us? It was a brand-new workshop completely for free. Check it out in the video below.

Recently we found out that Shana Froggatt raised £270 for us by abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. We don’t know if we would be able to brave such heights! Thank you, Shana!

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who supports us and donates. Every act of kindness and donation makes a difference.

If you would like to support us on our mission to design, develop, build and distribute open source 3D printed assistive devices for people with an upper limb difference, you can donate here.
