A HUGE thanks to Natalie!

Every donation we receive comes with a unique story and this amazing act of generosity deserves a special shout out!

Drumroll please… one of our supporters, Natalie, has donated a whopping £2266.29 to Team UnLimbited!

Naturally, the money raised didn’t magically grow from a tree (wouldn’t that be nice!), rather Natalie dedicated a huge amount of her own time and energy towards her goal.

Natalie’s story started 18 months ago when she won a ballot place in the London Marathon 2018. She started raising funds during her training alongside some smaller scale fundraising efforts.

After completing the London race, Natalie didn’t stop there, and she continued to run and fundraise all the way up to March 2019 when Natalie completed her 12th marathon in 12 months. Now that’s what you call dedication and stamina!

We are super grateful! We can’t thank Natalie enough and all the individuals who donated money to her cause. 

But how did Natalie find out about Team UnLimbited?

Natalie is a Design Tech teacher who discovered us when her colleague shared what we do. As a design teacher, perhaps it was Natalie’s natural curiosity that led to her interest in our designs.

Not only did Natalie take time out of her busy schedule to fundraise, but she has also been using our open-source blueprints in her classes so her pupils can create their own. And we can confirm they’ve enjoyed every second!

It’s absolutely fantastic to know that our designs are being used within a school environment and the positive impact we are having from a STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) perspective. The importance of STEM is no myth, careers in these fields play a key part in our modern world and we’ve already shared how Generation Z is making an impact in a previous blog. Deeds like this show how inspired younger generations are.

Natalie, you’re the perfect example of a Team UnLimbited hero and we’re thankful for every single one of you!
