The things we love about the limb difference community
Recently, we have been thinking about the limb difference community and what makes it so special. With Valentine’s Day close by we want to use this blog as an opportunity to tell you the top three things we love about the limb difference community.
1. All the support for one another
The support for the community continues to amaze us each year. People across the world find ways to help each other whether it is with their time or money.
We are grateful for all the support we receive, from likes and shares on our social media to generous donations. We will never forget when Natalie, a design tech teacher, raised a whopping £2266.29 for Team UnLimbited.
2. The endless amount of inspiration
The level of inspiration from members of the limb difference community is off the charts. Do you remember when we ran our “NotSoLimbited” series? From Great British Bake-off contestant, Briony May to baseball player Jim Abbott, we were spoilt for choice when it came to role models from the limb difference community.
3. The real changes we make
Finally, one of the things we love the most about the limb difference community is how with our combined efforts and creative minds we can make a real change in the lives of children and adults on a global scale. From our shed in Wales all the way to Australia’s E-Nable chapter, there are people making a difference and our combined impact is huge.
